From the Pastor

This weekend is Father's Day and I hope you are planning great things for the fathers in your life. God has a very special role for fathers in the home and one of our goals is to support fathers that they might be the spiritual leaders God desires. Even our Imagine goals address fathers specifically and we have action plans for the next year to support their role and ministry.

I hope you enjoy this video as you prepare for Father's Day. And while you are thinking about your earthly father, be sure and thank the Lord for being our Heavenly Father. Happy Father's Day.

The Best is yet to come!

Dr. Brent Taylor
Senior Pastor

Imagine Sunday Fellowship

On Sunday, June 23, all of the 9:15 and 10:45 ABF classes will meet in the Family Center for the next Imagine Sunday Fellowship. Paul Tidmore will share his presentation, iKnow (but do u?) - Today's Kids with Today's Technology.

Paul is the Chief Technology Officer for Parrish Episcopal School where he deals with kids and technology on a daily basis and is a faithful member of First Baptist Carrollton. Paul and his wife, Ginger, have two boys, ages 11 and 13, so they understand the issues families face today. Technology and social media are moving at warp speed and we need to know what kids are into today. How do you regulate activity on social media sites while keeping it fun for your kids? How do you teach them to base their identity solely in Christ and not in something they encounter on the internet?

Paul's insights will allow all of us to begin thinking about how we safeguard children's hearts and minds in a technology-driven world. Whether you're a parent, a grandparent, considering parenthood, or anywhere in between, this will be an important and helpful hour for you.

Whether you are currently tithing or have never tithed, our church is being challenged to commit to tithe to prove to ourselves the Lord's faithfulness. Be encouraged to step out by faith over these 90 days and see what the Lord will do in your life. Please continue to be faithful as the summer months begin.
