Epic Series

Epic: The Biography of All Mankind” is the sermon series that Pastor Brent Taylor is currently preaching every Sunday morning, a journey through Paul’s important and momentous letter to the Romans. An epic is a writing “of unusually great size and extent.” While the Book of Romans is only 16 chapters, it is actually epic in its depth. It is the story of mankind in which the hero is Jesus Christ because of what He did to redeem mankind for God.

The Book of Romans is considered by many to be greatest words ever written. Some have called it the “Constitution of Christianity,” and it is a book that sparked world-wide revolution through a young monk named Martin Luther that we call today the Protestant Reformation. Luther said: “This epistle is really the chief part of the New Testament and the very purest gospel and is worthy not only that every Christian should know it word-for-word by heart but occupy himself with it every day as the daily bread of the soul.” John Calvin said: “When anyone gains knowledge of this epistle he has an entrance opened to him to all the most hidden treasures of Scripture.” Romans is essentially the greatest letter ever written, the greatest words ever penned, the greatest truths mankind can fathom, the greatest of writings in all of Scripture.
