Wade Longcrier
Associate Pastor, Spiritual Development

Before entering the ministry, Wade was a High School teacher and a coach in Oklahoma. As a teacher, he taught English, American History and elementary Physical Education. His coaching duties included Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Track. Wade graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in Education and then from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a MasterĂ­s in Religious Education.

Wade met his wife Terri while in college. They have five children. Wade loves to spend time with his kids going to their games and just hanging out with them. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, working out and sprint triathlons. Wade has now been in the ministry for twenty years.For 11 years he served as a youth pastor in Oklahoma and Texas. Currently, he is the Associate Pastor of Spiritual Development, at First Baptist Church of Carrollton, TX. One of his focuses is to take the church he serves into the world as the Great Commission commands. As a former missionary in Mexico City, Wade truly enjoys this part of his job.

During the past 10 years at FBC, Carrollton, mission teams have traveled to over 20 countries and on approximately 90 trips. Wade is also involved with a ministry called The Bridge. The Bridge is a multi cultural congregation of FBC, Carrollton. This ministry was established 3 years ago to meet the needs of their local population. They meet in a more relaxed setting and welcome people from all backgrounds to worship and hear the Word. Wade also helps to oversee the local missions and sport efforts as well as the outreach and prayer ministries. Wade enjoys his job and the opportunities God provides for him to speak about what God is doing in his own life and the world.
